We offer a range of personal storage unit sizes to suit your needs. From smaller 40 sq ft units (around the size of a garden shed) to spacious 160 sq ft units that can hold the contents of a 3–4 bedroom home, there’s an option for everyone. Whether you’re storing a few boxes, furniture, or the contents of your house, we’ll help you choose the right size.
The cost depends on the size of the unit and how long you need it for. Our prices start from around £20 per week, excluding VAT and padlock or goods protection. For an accurate quote, contact us directly or get a free estimate from your nearest Optima Self Store location.
Your belongings are protected at all times. Each Optima Self Store site is equipped with 24/7 CCTV monitoring, PIN-controlled gate access, high perimeter fencing, and drive-up steel units that are locked securely. Only you have access to your storage space.
Our minimum rental term is four weeks, but you can stay for as long as you need — there’s no maximum limit. If you plan to store long-term, ask us about our discounted rates for extended stays.
You can access your storage unit 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, giving you the freedom to collect or drop off your belongings whenever it suits you.
Absolutely. If your storage needs change — for example, you move house, declutter, or bring in new furniture — you can easily upgrade or downsize your unit with no hassle or hidden charges.
You’re welcome to use your own lock, or you can purchase a high-quality padlock directly from us for added convenience. Our team will help you make sure your unit is secure before you leave.
You can store most household items, including furniture, clothing, boxes, sports gear, and electronics. However, we can’t allow storage of hazardous materials, flammable liquids, live animals, or perishable goods.
Yes. You can use your own home contents insurance if it covers off-site storage, or you can choose our Goods Protection Plan for complete peace of mind while your items are stored with us.
